NSCS AND SKAGIT SPEEDWAY REUNITE IN 2007
Skagit Speedway owner Steve Beitler and newly acquired NSCS (formerly NST) owner Shawna Wilskey are pleased to announce the return of the traveling 360 tour to Skagit Speedway in 2007. The former series made its only stop at the Alger oval in the spring of 2002.
“We had some issues to resolve in order to work together” stated Beitler, “Shawna was eager to work on a package that was in the best interest of the racers, The Northwest Sprint Challenge Series and Skagit Speedway”. One of the main issues discussed was the motor rules, “I am confident we are both
headed in the right direction with the 360 motors.” said Beitler “I am looking forward to a long and successful relationship with the NSCS.”
Shawna Wilskey, who has won several NST Championships, commented “The addition of Skagit Speedway to the NSCS schedule is a natural fit for racers and fans alike. I am pleased that Steve and his staff have welcomed us."
Skagit Speedway will play host the The NSCS on May 11th & 12th and will close out the 7 race Speed Weeks on July 27th & 28th with the $10,000 to win Bob’s Burgers & Brew 360 Nationals. Go to www.skagitspeedway.com for more

World of Outlaws Invading Castrol Raceway
CONCORD, N.C. Dec. 1, 2006 For the first time in World of Outlaws history, the greatest sprint car drivers in the world will slide into Castrol Raceway next season for the Oil City Cup, the series only two-day event in Canada.
The Greatest Show on Dirt will invade Edmonton Aug. 17-18 during the 2007 World of Outlaws Gold Rush Tour through the Pacific Northwest. Defending World of Outlaws champion and 2006 Knoxville Nationals winner Donny Schatz will lead the Outlaws to the 3/8-mile oval chasing a combined purse of nearly INV100,000. But winning wont be easy as legendary Steve Kinser takes aim at Schatz along with 2001 champion Danny Lasoski when the Outlaws return to Canada next season for the first time since 1982.
We are very excited to have the World of Outlaws at Castrol Raceway in 2007, said Castrol Raceway President Rob Reeves. The World of Outlaws has the best Sprint Car drivers in the business who put on a great event for the fans. Edmonton has been waiting for a dirt track race of this caliber for some time and we are proud to say we now have one. We look forward to working with the team from SLS Promotions and DIRT MotorSports to put on the best Sprint Car event Edmonton has ever seen.
The intensity will be fierce when the World of Outlaws roll into Castrol Raceway as the focus will shift to the annual Gold Rush Tour, a series of high-profile events through the Northwest culminating with the Gold Cup Race of Champions in Chico, Calif. In addition, the championship battle also will intensify, with Schatz trying to defend his title as Kinser and Lasoski aim to add more hardware to their mantels. In addition, Craig Dollansky and Joey Saldana, who finished second and third in the 2006 standings, will no doubt be positioned for a run at their first championships.
The competition will be unlike anything the World of Outlaws has seen in a long time, said World of Outlaws Series Director Carlton Reimers. When we roll into Castrol Raceway, there is potential for 10 or more teams to be in championship contention and the Gold Rush Tour will go a long way toward determining who will eventually become the champion.
The World of Outlaws last completed a feature in Canada during the 1982 season when Sammy Swindell captured the main event at Winnipeg Speedway in Manitoba.
